The fate of Oklahoma City schools superintendent may soon be decided. News 9 is told a "separation agreement" is on the table for Monday night's meeting.

The Oklahoma City Public Schools Board of Education is working on an agreement to part ways with Superintendent Rob Neu.

The attorney representing embattled Oklahoma City Public Schools Superintendent Rob Neu tells News 9 he sees scenarios that could lead to Neu staying at his post.

Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) Associate Superintendent, Aurora Lora, has taken over the responsibilities for embattled Superintendent Rob Neu.

Rob Neu, the Oklahoma City schools superintendent who is supposedly ‘out of office’ right now, is in San Diego where he is scheduled to speak at an education conference Tuesday, sources told News 9.

Superintendent Rob Neu is still getting paid while out of the office. He has not resigned and has not been suspended, according to the Oklahoma City Public School District. But while the board continues to talk about the future of Neu's employment, they said by law, the rest is under wraps.

Members of the Oklahoma City Public School Board say Rob Neu is “currently out of office” and the associate superintendent will take over his responsibilities at this time. 

When the Oklahoma City School Board holds a special meeting Thursday night to talk about the employment of Superintendent Rob Neu, they might want to budget in some money to install a revolving door in his office. 

Oklahoma City Schools Superintendent Rob Neu has responded to reports he is planning to resign.  On Tuesday morning, Neu issued a brief statement to the media and emailed the same thing to staff, saying simply, "I have not resigned. I am very disappointed that this was reported in the news media. I have no further comment at this time."

Rob Neu, Superintendent for the Oklahoma City Public Schools, released a statement on Tuesday, saying he has not resigned.
